Lisa & Sarah Sharing Sarah’s Tiny House

Thank you Lisa and Sarah for all of your help and willingness to share Sarah’s house at the Salt Lake Home Show 2018! It was a big hit! – Angus “Big Stew” MacInnes

While anticipating crowds of potentially 70,000 attendees at this weekend’s show to visit the Tiny Home Village, Angus “Big Stew” MacInnes, Founder, President, and CEO of Maximus Extreme Living Solutions™ clearly needed support. “Big Stew” was/is very grateful for Lisa and Sarah’s assistance and support.

Because there was/is nobody better than Lisa and Sarah to share their backstory and personal insights into this wonderful Tiny Home Design, visitors this weekend were able to hear directly from Sarah. Sarah participated in many aspects of her Tiny Home project. Sarah participated in steps of design, participated in construction, and she got her hands into the final finishing touches (literally and figuratively)!

In case you weren’t able to attend this weekend, we encourage those interested to learn about Sarah’s story. Sarah created a Facebook page for just that purpose. (See: Below).

Help Sarah Spread The Word About Her Awareness Project

Because this sensory tiny home design represents a newfound freedom and independence for Sarah, we hope you will all support Sarah’s efforts to both encourage others with autism. Won’t you help *spread the word* about https://www.facebook.com/AutisticTinyHomes/ Sarah’s project?

This show is going to be amazing! The Tiny Homes will be fully landscaped: featuring paver walking paths, courtyard, etc.! Also I’m guessing that the Mountain America Expo Center (formerly South Towne Expo Center) has probably 4-5 acres under roof (so there’s lots to see).

The Tiny Home Village is the Main Attraction of the show, and MAX™ Tiny Homes will only take up a small portion of one corner!

Come to the show this weekend and check it out! If you ever wanted to experience a Tiny Home in person, this weekend is your chance to do so! Come see for yourself what we mean when we say #tinyhomeHUGELIFE!

Meet Team MAX™

One of the highlights for Team MAX™ is introducing Tiny Homes to those who’ve always wanted to experience the livable feeling of luxury in a tiny space. Since we’ve been building and showing our Tiny Homes since 2012, we still think meeting folks, asking “What do you think?” is the ‘cherry on top’ because we’ve not (yet) met anyone who wasn’t surprised in a positive way.

Since we’ve been building custom tiny dream homes since 2012, MAX™ Tiny Homes has learned a thing or two. We’ve learned that Kitchen—along with bathrooms—are probably the two most diverse areas that are found within tiny homes (at least that has been our experience).

When you consider that what customers need and want differ, we have designed custom bathrooms as varied as our clients’ needs and wants.

Because we’re proud of our ability to creatively accommodate just about everyone’s unique needs, we share just a few photos of some custom tiny dream home bathrooms that we have designed and built over the years.

  • craftsman styling
  • clean lines
  • simple
  • base colors
  • outdoor/indoor space that would also be accessible by their dogs
  • and

Back Story

Sarah is a 19-year-old woman who has autism. This is an exciting time for Sarah. This tiny home represents a big step for Sarah and her quest to have some autonomy as a young woman. Sarah’s tiny home will allow her to literally have her own home and yet still be in close proximity to her family!

One of the highlights for Team MAX™ was introducing color to the home. We think the ‘cherry on top’ is Sarah’s custom steel pergola, which looks really cool over the entry. What do you think?

Since we’re sharing, we share a few more finishing touches and details. Yes, we are very near completion of Sarah’s self-titled “Autistic” Tiny Home. Sarah’s “Autistic” Tiny Home™ is a sensory tiny home. This custom tiny home represents Sarah’s creativity and her independence!

Since our 19-year-old customer Sarah has autism, she calls her custom tiny home the “Autistic” Tiny Home. Because this sensory tiny home design represents Sarah’s newfound freedom and independence, we hope you will all support Sarah’s efforts. That is, Sarah seeks to both encourage others with autism and to *spread the word* about those with autism living independently.

We’re all excited and very proud. Since you’ve been asking to see more of what we’ve designed and built just for Sarah, this ‘sneak peek’ is just another installment in our “Pre-Reveal.” #StayTuned

Team MAX™ doesn’t want to spoil the final reveal to Sarah on Saturday, October 29, 2016. With that said, we share some of the custom details of Sarah’s “Autistic” Tiny Home. The 4-in-1 bathroom fixture (a Home NetWerks® Bluetooth® Stereo Speaker Bath Fan with LED Light) is really neat! Check out this YouTube® video at https://youtu.be/AbZ0pw8–Ic.

Because Saturday, October 29, 2016, is still the “big day,” Team MAX™ is down to mostly touch-up items from here to Saturday’s “Big Reveal”! #StayTuned #MeetSarah #TheBigReveal

As we continue to work hard on our latest project, we’re almost complete with Sarah’s self-titled “Autistic” Tiny Home.

Note: Since our 19-year-old customer Sarah has autism, she calls her custom tiny home the “Autistic” Tiny Home. Because this sensory tiny home design represents a newfound freedom and independence for Sarah, we hope you will all support Sarah’s efforts to both encourage others with autism and to *spread the word* about her project.

Since we’re both excited and very proud of what we’ve designed and built just for her, this is our “Pre-Reveal.”

While not purposely a ‘teaser,’ Team MAX™ doesn’t want to spoil the final reveal to Sarah on Saturday, October 29, 2016. With that said, isn’t it amazing what color can do for a home? Sarah’s Tiny Home has no shortage of color to it!

While we tried to tone the exterior color palette down (just a little), we want to stay true to the color schemes that Sarah likes. What do you think?

Because Saturday, October 29, 2016, is still the “big day,” Team MAX™ is down to mostly touch-up items from here to Saturday’s “Big Reveal”! #StayTuned #MeetSarah #TheBigReveal

In this photo gallery, you can see Sarah put add her color touches to her very own front door! We’ll keep the photos coming!

We at MAX™ Tiny Homes are coming even farther down the home stretch on what our client Sarah affectionately calls her “Autistic Tiny Home.”

Back Story

Sarah is a 19-year-old young woman who has autism. This is an exciting time for Sarah, because we are less than a month away from delivering her tiny home to her. This tiny home represents a big step for Sarah and her quest to have some autonomy as a young woman. Sarah’s tiny home will allow her to literally have her own home and yet still be in close proximity to her family!

Progress on Sarah’s Tiny Home

Since our last update, Sarah came to our shop to personally see the progress on her tiny home. Too, she picked her colors and added her personal touch to her front door!

Sarah’s Status

The smile on Sarah’s face, her mom’s face, and her teacher’s face pretty much says it all: She’s really excited as we approach the home stretch. We at MAX™ Tiny Homes are equally as excited to be able to present Sarah’s tiny home to her! #StayTuned

Sarah’s Chosen Colors

One of the highlights for Team MAX™ was introducing Sarah’s chosen colors to her tiny home. Sarah’s color palette is really coming together, and she seems so very happy, doesn’t she?

Just wait for the reveal! You will love Sarah’s custom tiny home!

The Next Project

The Next Project

Team MAX™ To Build Sarah’s Tiny Home

The Next Project

Team MAX™ is super pumped about our next project! We will build a tiny home for a young lady by the name of Sarah. Sarah has autism, and she is a huge fan of the tiny home movement.

Sarah, in cooperation with her mom and the rest of her family, made the decision that she needs her own space. So, after having kept in contact with Sarah, her mom, grandmother, and high school teacher over the past year, Sarah decided, along with the blessing of her mother and the financial help from her grandparents, to pull the trigger on a purchase of her own tiny home!

Soon, Sarah will have her own tiny home; Sarah will live on her mom and dad’s property!

Here at Team MAX™, we are proud that Sarah chose us to work with her on her project. We will keep all of our friends and supporters updated on the progress of Sarah’s tiny home.

As a side note, a documentary about Sarah and the progress toward realizing her dream of owning her own tiny home is in the works! #StayTuned

Sarah has another goal: to share the tiny home build process with others who have autism. Too, Sarah, wants to help others with autism get into tiny homes of their own!

We here at MAX™ tiny homes wish Sarah nothing but success!

We are also super excited to have Damon Deschamp of Trailer Made Trailers on board as not only a supporter of Sarah’s dream, but they are a contributor, too! Thanks, Damon!
